Vibration Reduction and Functional Integration

Objectives of the module »Vibration Reduction and Functional Integration«

In this module the course participants learn how to identify the causes and effects of vibrations and to reduce these. Knowledge is acquired about commonly used methods for dynamic structure and performance analysis and about how to utilize the results for the methodical determination and design of suitable (passive, semi-active, and active) countermeasures. The advantages and disadvantages of the measures are highlighted and participants learn in what situations to use these.

Required knowledge for participation and target groups

It is advantageous to have prior knowledge of vibration control.
This module is aimed at engineers and specialists from either industry or academia who are involved with noise and vibration reduction of FRP systems.

This module is available in German

Important information

Each module of the Composite Engineer course can be taken individually, regardless of whether or not you intend to take sufficient modules to be awarded a Composite Engineer certificate. An online introductory learning program is used to give participants the necessary prior knowledge. Participants are given the access code after registering for the module.
