Objectives of the module »Processing Technologies«

The “Manufacturing methods” module provides detailed knowledge about the most important manufacturing methods for FRP products with reactive and non-reactive matrices. At the end of the module the course participants are familiar with all key criteria for selecting a suitable manufacturing method for a specific material and product. Furthermore, they can evaluate the prerequisites for effective implementation of the manufacturing technology.

Required knowledge for participation and target groups

The realistic minimum requirements for taking this module are successful completion of the online introductory learning program or the Introductory Module. No special prior knowledge beyond this is necessary for taking this module.
The target group for this module are employees who are responsible for the manufacture of fiber composite structures and components, namely engineers and scientists in all disciplines and industries as well as technicians and technologists with suitable professional experience and expertise. This module is particularly geared to employees who need an overview of the most commonly used and most important manufacturing methods for FRPs..

Important information

Each module of the Composite Engineer course can be taken individually, regardless of whether or not you intend to take sufficient modules to be awarded a Composite Engineer certificate. An online introductory learning program is used to give participants the necessary prior knowledge. Participants are given the access code after registering for the module.
