At the end of the module the objective is for course participants to be in a position to select and in principle use suitable joining methods for their particular field of work. The principles of various joining methods and points to heed are covered: mechanical joining methods, direct thermal joining, laser beam welding, and hybrid joining methods.
The minimum requirements for taking this module are completion of the online introductory learning program or the Introductory Module. No special prior knowledge beyond this is necessary for taking this module.
The target group for this module are employees who are responsible for fiber composite structures and components, namely engineers and scientists in all disciplines and industries as well as technicians and technologists with suitable professional experience and expertise.
