Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials IFAMThe Training Center for Adhesive Bonding Technology at Fraunhofer IFAM has been offering workforce training courses in adhesive bonding technology for company employees for over 30 years. What started as a local programme in Bremen has now become a global training programme at various locations around the world. For over 20 years, we have been working with partners who organise the courses on our behalf, using our course concept and our course materials.
Regular dialogue with the instructors we have trained ensures that our quality standards are maintained, so that we can say that our training courses are available wherever you are in the world: No matter where in the world our courses take place, they are comparable to the courses in Bremen.
Of course, the network is not static and there are regular updates on the various partners, some of which we would like to mention here as examples:
Our long-standing cooperation partner in Spain has opened new training facilities near Barcelona in 2025 under the new name »Formaciones Adhesivas« and offers regular refresher seminars in addition to the established EAB and EAS courses. In addition to our activities in Spain, our Spanish-speaking instructors also enable us to offer Spanish courses in South and Central America, for example.
Our cooperation partners in Turkey (Kiwa) and Japan (AESB) have also been offering EAS courses in the respective national language without additional interpreters since 2025. Our corresponding trainers successfully completed their EAE training at the beginning of the year and demonstrated their technical and didactic expertise in trial courses.
There is also news from our national cooperation partners: our partner Innotech Marketing und Konfektion Rot GmbH rented premises for adhesive bonding technology training at the end of last year and can now continue and expand the successful development since we started the cooperation in 2017 on 630 m2 (?).
Our partner APM Technica is also expanding its offering in eastern Switzerland and is offering an EAS course for the first time.
In line with our motto »Close to the customer«, we are naturally also looking for cooperation opportunities in regions of the world where adhesive bonding training courses are increasingly in demand. Our most recent project of this kind is the organisation of an EAB and an EAS course in Bangalore, India. In June/July, we will be offering such courses in English and Hindi for the second time.
