State-of-the-art: Quality assurance standards for adhesive bonding technology
Today, the state-of-the-art 123 is demanded by product safety regulations. This is only binding 4 under product safety regulations, and includes bonded products. DIN 2304 (for the use of adhesive bonding technology in general industry and the handicrafts sector) and DIN 6701 (for the use of adhesive bonding technology in rail vehicle manufacture) describe the state-of-the-art for the organization of bonding processes, namely they codify the state-of-the-art for the implementation of adhesive bonding technology 4 and are hence binding. Companies that possess certification in accordance with one of these standards for their bonding process demonstrate that they use adhesive bonding technology for their process in accordance with the binding state-of-the-art in product safety regulations and that their employees have undergone training in adhesive bonding technology as specified in the standards.
